Solar and Polar ~ 11 Aug 2013

Consider this post a public service announce... because it’s happening again. Yep, folks are spreading rumors and speculation about a scientific phenomenon, working to turn it into their five minutes of “scare the crap out of everyone they can” fame.

It is true that the indications are that the Sun will reverse its magnetic poles sometime soon. The estimates are reporting “within the next three to four months,” and it was also reported it should have occurred last year. Regardless, it’s not a big deal when. Really.

The Sun operates on two fairly regular clocking cycles for its workings: 11.08 years and 178.55 years. As a rule, the Sun flips magnetic poles every 11.08 years, except when it doesn’t. Yep, sometimes the Sun does not reverse poles. And sometimes, such as we witnessed in the solar activity peak of 2000, a double hump solar activity peak occurs and skews the time line, per the late prediction of solar pole reversal inf 2012.

Though we have probed the Sun multiple times the best we can, much of its subtly we have not yet perceived. The magnetic reversal is a function the Sun’s thermonuclear inner workings and is stimulated by planetary activity (it has been well documented that solar emanations correlate with planetary effects seen in operation in heliocentric astrology). Some of the short period correspondences to the 11-year solar cycle follow:

46 sidereal revolutions of Mercury = 11.079 yrs.

18 sidereal revolutions of Venus = 11.074 yrs.

137 synodic revolutions of the Moon = 11.077 yrs.

11 sidereal revolutions of Earth = 11.000 yrs.

6 sidereal revolutions of Mars = 11.286 yrs.

10 synodic periods, Earth/Jupiter = 10.919 yrs

40 synodic periods, Mercury/Mars = 11.061 yrs

Note: sidereal revolution = one complete cycle around the sun; synodic period = one interval in which the involved planets return to direct alignment.

Today, we are promised to feel amplifed effects of solar energy as the results of a Coronal Mass Ejection reach Earth. The out of body, difficulty focusing, chakra’s spinning on a bent rim, out of alignment aura that makes most folks irritable and seemingly without coping skill is typically how such a CME blast is felt. Mind, body and spirit struggle for “normal” interaction. Meditation? Most minds are too fretful. Plopping down in nature or observing the Perseid meteor shower (in effect for a few more days) to reconnect with “All,” does help. Remembering that things are edgy and reacting accordingly is a good course of action, too.

Spreading (or worse, creating) rumors of doom and forwarding Facebook posts of those who have never researched these effects and have concluded some bizarre significance of the in bound CME, or the Sun’s pole reversal is not a good thing. Humankind has made it through oodles of solar pole shifts, in most instances, without even knowing it.

Some of the surge in the frequency of those silly posts and wild speculations might be attributed to the fact that with the Sun and Ceres now in Leo, coming up to trine Eris in Aries, no one wants to be left out. True that. But posts that smash personal credibility lend a person to be discounted by rational folks, and those who think clearly and critically (in a good logic way, that is) does not likely contribute to inclusion. As Eris might have learned had she been taking notes, creating mayhem and being disruptive, typically bumps your name off the guest list.

Using these Sun and Ceres passages to Eris you can, in fact, make a good stand for yourself. For the next week these three are in play: the Sun coming to conjoin Ceres and both trining Eris. Here’s the check list of things one can do:

Center yourself. Take time to sit quietly in nature or observe the night sky to remember your place in your world and the bigger picture.

Affirm your personal attributes such that you can proceed with valid, known facts of what you bring to any table.

Be affirmative, positive, bold and confident.

State the positions and situations you want, can competently fill, and use to evolve to new heights.

Include yourself in yet unknown spheres by aligning with the agendas of those spheres and do whatever research, background work, preparation is necessary.

Be cheerful, upside oriented, welcoming and cooperative.

All that, leads to a pretty dang good week ahead. Those following this protocol can eagerly bask in solar energy and await some amazing photos of the Sun’s energetic field in the weeks to come until the reversal is complete.

Oh yeah, that again. What will the reversal of the Sun’s poles do?

Well, there should be some pretty cool, far-reaching auroras. Weather patterns are likely be anomalous for a few weeks either side of the effect. Take storm forecasting seriously and assume that “how the weather always is this time of year” thinking may not apply.

And yes, people and their auras will experience shifting and uber-stimulating energy from the Sun. This can be used to get things done faster than a person with a strong Mercury-Mars-Jupiter-Uranus pattern after five triple cappuccinos. Know the feeling. Take time to discern is this your energy, or is this your energy in response to strong solar activity. With that perception, the energy is easier to harness.

You know how some people report that Leos can persuade them to do things they don’t normally do? Well, this is about the Sun, who holds dominion as the lord of Leo. Want to do some things you’ve never done or never imagined you could do? Here you go.

One final point about pole reversal. The Sun reversing poles will not cause a pole shift for the Earth, and contributes in no way to the unfounded prophecies that the Earth’s axis will tilt and the North Pole will end up in New Orleans.

And keep in mind that spreading rumors of catastrophe, global mayhem and the end of the world because the solar activity, is not a good use of imagination, talent and time. So if you’ve been watching too many of those high-explosion, alien-invading, global-panic kinds of movies out there, fine. But come back to reality before taking a scientific fact and beating it apart with a dull hyperbole.
